My birthstone is a coffee bean

So today I’m showing you one of the favorite corners of my home. My coffee bar. Hi, my name is Sarah and I’m addicted to coffee. When we bought our house, this is one of the first things I did. I always wanted a coffee bar because my love for the stuff runs deep. But the best part about it, IT’S UPSTAIRS. I need the least amount of steps to get to my coffee in the morning and this is such a treat for me. There is also a mini fridge in the cabinet below and it stores our milk and creamer....! NO STEPS NECESSARY. I know that sounds so lazy but let me tell you, it's a nice little life bonus. Every time we have guest come to stay with us, everyone is always delighted by the upstairs coffee bar and I love seeing it bring a little joy to someones morning!

We have lived in our house for 2.5 years and I still get excited to make my coffee in the morning. I collect cute mugs, so it’s always fun to pick out my mug in the morning and take me back to a trip I took or remind me of a friend that gave me a pretty mug. One of my favorite things to do when Scarlett goes down for a nap, is to sit down with a hot cup of coffee and either catch up on a show, read a book, call my mom to chat or just sit there, put on an album I have been wanting to listen to and just let myself breathe. Sometimes it's hard to find time in life to take those little moments to yourself and actually let yourself breathe and think. It's something I'm really trying to make a priority.

Braden surprised me with one of my all time favorite quotes by Johnny Cash framed for the perfect addition to my coffee corner. “This morning with her having coffee” he said when asked about his idea of paradise. Perfect reminder every morning to find joy and happiness in the small things in life...like a hot cup of coffee with the person you love. Everyone wants a love like Johnny and June right?
