Scarlett and I had the most fun this morning at the braid bar with my sweet friend Lisa who owns The Greenhouse Salon and ALSO has a nonprofit called Living For Everything. If you follow me on insta you have probably seen me post about her! She is one of the most amazing women I know and I'm so fortunate to have her friendship. Follow her on all the things and you will love her too! Her daughter Arlie and Scarlett are the cutest little friends, Arlie acts like the big sister and it's pretty adorable when they are together.
Apple and Oak here in Nashville hosted the event and if you haven't been...GO. It is the cutest store and has the best home decor, rugs and little fun trinkets. I promise you will want to buy the whole store. It was such a cool event, I was so happy to be a part of. I think it's so important to surround yourself with women who lift you up, inspire and support you. Always good to have a lady gang!
Lisa gave me these super fun festival style braids, I normally do not love myself in braids but I LOVE this look. She knows I like to keep a little hair around my face so she didn't pull it all back which I really like! I think she just added braids to her booking so if you're looking to get some cool braids, check her out! She's literally the best, I can't say enough good things. Girl has SKILLS. My hair is like a security blanket for me so I can be kind of particular about it but with Lisa, I trust her totally! We even put some rose gold in my hair recently! If you've seen my recent insta post you know...I decided it was time to not take life or my hair too seriously and have some FUN.

When I got home all I wanted to do was play with my makeup and finish the whole "festival" look off! What a better time with bonnaroo right around the corner to share a fun look like this!
Basically all I did to take a normal everyday makeup look up a notch is add a fun lip color and some glitter to my cheek bones. I created glitter freckles to go with the pigtail vibe. I also took a brighter eyeshadow and added it to my eye crease!

Urban Decay has come out with this really cool line that's definitely geared towards festival wear. I used their Heavy Metal glitter gel in shade distortion to create the glitter freckles, It's a really pretty iridescent shade. I am all about iridescent these days. Give me all the opal vibes please!
For my lip color I did Kylie Jenner in shade Love Bite, it's a fun darker color that is super fun to wear for a little edgier look.
I also did something fun to my lips on top of the lipstick that I have never done before. I just added a little bit of my favorite highlighter by MAC. It's also iridescent and so so pretty. It gave my lips such a cool look!
My eyeshadow was super simple to take up a notch. I just took one of my brighter rich colors and blended it into my eye crease. It's by TOO FACED and the shade is Pinned Down
